 Getting started

Our goal is to get you started as quickly as possible and get out of your way, so you can get back to work. This tour will guide you through the process of signing up, using the system, and managing your account.

 Signing up

Choosing a plan is easy. We offer three plans – Lite, Standard, and Pro. All three perform the same. They vary in storage and bandwidth limits, and the number of active projects allowed. Most Xprove customers will find the Lite plan will meet their needs. Busier shops might need the additional number of projects available in the Standard plan. Long-form producers and editors who want to upload hours of material per month should opt for the Pro plan.

Guessing at storage and bandwidth needs can be frustrating, so we’ve created a simple calculator to help. When in doubt, choose the smallest plan you think will meet your needs. It’s easy to upgrade anytime, and the system will alert you when you are getting close to your account limits.

The sign up screen

Sign up screenWhen you sign up, you’ll be asked to enter the name of your company, your site name, and what URL you would like. All URLs are in the form yourcompanyname.xprove.com. Your site name will be displayed at the top of every page your clients see. Most take the form of My Company Name Client Approvals or My Company Name Extranet. Choose your URL carefully. It’s the only thing you can’t change later. Shorter is better.

Your clients won’t see any Xprove branding when visiting your space.

Your email address will serve as your login name. You will be sent a confirmation notice to the email address. Save it for future reference.

You’ll be asked to enter your credit card information. Currently Xprove accepts Visa or MasterCard. You will not be charged for your first month of service. The system will tell you when your first charge will be generated. If you cancel your account before that date, you pay nothing.
